Known to be one of the prodigious talents in the world of advertising, Ram Madhvani has worn many hats and excelled in various fields. Having worked with prominent advertising agencies in India, his skill has been widely recognised and honoured with the prestigious Teachers Achievement Award (2004-2005).

In his illustrious advertising career, Ram Madhvani created some of the most memorable commercials on screen. He directed the famed commercial for the brand Happydent for which he was awarded the Bronze as well as the Silver Lion at the Cannes Festival in 2006.

This commercial along with the one for Parle LMN were featured in Top 20 list of the last twenty years in Shots magazine. The magazine featured the Best of Asia Pacific section where another ad film commercial, the Hippo World Toasties by Mr. Madhvani received a special mention.

Ram Madhvani was chosen as the President of the Jury for Film Craft at Adfest Bangkok in 2011. Amongst other achievements, he received a special mentioned in top 10 directors list in the Asia Pacific region in 2007 and was ranked at the 11th position for the most awarded directors by the Gunn report.

Ram Madhvani has also made his mark as a director in worlds other than advertising.

He has directed two music videos for one of the most renowned actors in the country, Mr. Aamir Khan. The song “BhejaKum” from the path-breaking film Taare Zameen Par and the official theme song for the actor’s TV series "Satyamev Jayate."

Ram Madhvani forged a successful path for himself in the world of films too. He made an impressive directorial debut with the film Let’s Talk which was premiered at the esteemed Locarno Film Festival. The film also received awards for Best Actor and Best Debut Director at the Srinivas Gollapudi National Awards.

Post that, he directed Neerja (2016).

Neerja was nominated in every category in the 2017 award season in India. Ram won “Best Director” and “Best Film” in the three most important award functions in the country and the National Award for “Best Feature Film (Hindi)”.

Currently Ram Madhvani is in the process of writing and developing two feature film scripts, that should hit the floors very soon.

Ram Madhvani had also made an astounding documentary titled Everlasting Light which featured the Indian megastar, Amitabh Bachchan. It was screened at the Lincoln Center in New York and was extensively admired by all.

Ram Madhvani directed the short film ‘This Bloody Line’ for Leading National News publication India Today. The film, that was completely filmed in the UK, marked the momentous occasion of the 70th Anniversary of the partition of British India.
