Sameer got his first taste of success as a story-teller when he scared the daylights out of his cousins by projecting a skull on the walls of a darkened room.
This early tryst with visual experimentation continued in his uncle’s darkroom.
The slow bleaching of images into life was magic.
It was no surprise that, later, when called upon to start a small-scale industry, Sameer ran as far away as his talent would take him.
He ended up doing a course in design to add to his college successes as a fashion choreographer.
With this kind of background – photography, choreography, design, and even a stint running an event management company -- the call of films was inevitable.
In film, Sameer finally found the medium life had been prepping him for.
At last he could go back to the magic of that bright skull on that darkened wall.
The magic of telling stories. And the reward of feeling the racing pulse of a riveted audience.
Sameer has many, different stories still to tell. It makes us very happy indeed that he has chosen Equinox to help tell them.
